Our Story | Decades of Keeping Facilities Safe and Connected

About Us
Craig Metzler

A Legacy of Growth and Union Strength

By 1982, Progressive became a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). This affiliation allowed us to expand into larger, more complex projects, backed by a highly skilled union workforce dedicated to doing the job right the first time.

Shaping Kansas City’s Landmarks

Over the past four decades, Progressive Electronics has played a key role in some of Kansas City’s most recognized sites. From One Kansas City Place to Bartle Hall, Union Station, Kansas Speedway, and Garmin’s World Headquarters, our work has helped keep the city’s facilities connected, compliant, and operational.

Built on Expertise

Today, under the leadership of President Christopher Metzler, we continue to set the standard for commercial low-voltage integration. Our team includes technicians certified at NICET Level Fire Alarm Levels II to IV, NICET in Building Public Communication, Notifier, BICSI RCDD, and AVIXA CTS-D and CTS-I, with deep expertise in systems from Crestron to Q-SYS. As members of IBEW #124, NFPA, NECA, NSCA, and AVIXA, we hold ourselves to the highest standards in every project.

Looking Ahead

For over 45 years, Progressive Electronics has combined family values, technical expertise, and an unshakeable commitment to safety and quality. As we continue to grow and evolve with new technologies, one thing remains unchanged: our dedication to serving our clients with integrity and excellence.
